Tutorial: LineartBrushSettings by kaitastic Tutorial: LineartBrushSettings by kaitastic
How to make a new tool and rename it in SAI: Right click on an empty square in the tools section and select any tool that you wish to duplicate. It should appear at the end of the tool list. To rename the tool, right click on it, select options, and you can change the name of it on the very top.

Decided to work on some tutorials since I got into art block today. ): Poo.
Well here is one about my brush settings and stuff. Not really a tutorial but eh, you get it.

Thank. You. So. Much. This is exactly what I've needed. I am really bad with lineart, and these settings are wonderful!! I cannot wait to properly try them out.

Good how do you get the first tool? What do you modify?

You modify the airbrush tool to make the Ink tool.
Just put in the settings that I have supplied here for the Ink tool.

Awesome! Thank you very much for this :!D I have one question though - How do you draw the lineart? For example, when I draw the real lineart I often sketch it/clean it a little over the sketch. But it doesn't look good, because it's still so sketchy. Do you know how to solve this? Thank you in beforehand~ And keep up with the awesome work!

Hm? I really don't understand the question ;;
I usually do a planned out sketch first and then go on inking the image.

OTL.

And do you have your pictures on a really high resolution?
Because EVERYTIME I draw something it commes out pixely and I have no idea why, only maybe that the DPI isn't higher than it usually is, which is 72.

Most of my pics are done on 300px resolution. But it shouldn't matter either way. They turn out perfectly smooth for me.

But you reply'd to this after you reply'd to my other one-
Also, I think I have the right settings now.
Don't use pen for lines,
have it at 300px,
and turn off color mix when needed.
I drew something that actually looks good linewise.

HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO BE SO SMOOTH?
Do you just have a really good computer so you can draw on a higher resolution?

Awesome! I always wondered about your brush settings because they turn out so good! But the secret lies in the user of the brush really. ^^;

you have to make them yourself xD
just right click on an empty square on the tools section, select airbrush, and there ya go! you just need to right click on the new airbrush tool again and you can rename it to "ink" (: and you just apply the settings that I have shown you here on the tutorial.
